We all know that education forms the bedrock of any community. That is why Steve fought to fully fund our public schools while on the School Committee. He worked hard to build bridges between the committee, superintendent, and teachers to revitalize vocational programs and give kids a pathway to good paying jobs. He knows the value of a public school system with strong support.
Every resident in Malden deserves to feel safe, whether at home with their family or moving around our city . That includes our seniors as they travel to the senior center downtown, our kids riding their bikes to school or the Teen Enrichment Center, and our families worrying whether their house has lead tainted pipes. Every resident in Malden deserves to feel safe, whether at home with their family or moving around our city . That includes our seniors as they travel to the senior center downtown, our kids riding their bikes to school or the Teen Enrichment Center, and our families worrying whether their house has lead tainted pipes. It is vital that we invest in building a safe and healthy community for all residents. For some that means making the city more walkable, bikeable, or senior friendly. For others that means speeding up our plan to remove lead tainted pipes. It also means planning consistent road repairs to make sure we fix our streets. Every resident needs to feel like they matter in our community.

That is why Steve supports including public comment during City Council meetings, so that residents can participate when decisions are made. He knows that we need an expanded voice for residents on community plans; including Maplewood
We deserve a local city government that is open, transparent, and listens to the voice of our community. That is why Steve supports including public comment during City Council meetings, so that residents can participate when decisions are made. He knows that we need an expanded voice for residents on community plans; including Maplewood Square, Route 60 and 99, Transit Planning and how we use our Community Preservation money. This is key part of building a healthy, community focused future.
Steve believes that the future of Malden must be guided by the residents of our city, NOT developers. We need to incorporate the voice of the community into any project moving forward and make sure construction is done to fit each neighborhood. Strong and vibrant squares are vital to ensure healthy neighborhoods. This type of community engagement and planning is the only viable path forward.
We are all neighbors, and Steve will represent every voice in the City of Malden. Hard work, opportunity, and the chance to build a better life for our families is the bedrock of this country and our city. We extend that opportunity to anyone who wants to invest their time, energy, and passion to help make Malden a great place to live.
